So, now he has made a hospital which is very popular in Pakistan “Shaukat Khanum Hospital” in remembrance of his mother where millions of cancer patients are being treated for free.

This led to the approval of around 440 billion rupees for health. Imran Khan, the prime minister of Pakistan, declared on March 22, 2022, in the Punjabi city of Lahore that every resident of the province will receive an Insaf Health Card.

What is Sehat Card Plus?

A micro-health insurance program called Sehat Card Plus is available to all of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s residents. It is one of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s premier initiatives. An insurance provider chosen through a national competitive bidding process is carrying out the project.

More than 7.2 million KP families are receiving free inpatient healthcare services as a result of the program. NADRA is where the beneficiary families’ data is obtained. Treatment Packages

Cardholders receive an annual benefit of Rs. 300,000 under the Primary Care package. The following disorders can be treated by Pakistani citizens through this program:

Hospitalization services, Burns, accidents, kidney illness, dialysis, chronic infections (hepatitis, HIV), organ failure (liver, kidney, heart, lungs), diabetes mellitus completion, cancer (chemo, radio)

Cardholders receive an annual benefit of Rs. 60,000 per family under the Primary Care package. Pakistani citizens can receive treatment for the following ailments under this program.

Sehat Card Benefits

Sehat card is one of the best initiatives taken by the Pakistan government which offers free hospital treatment and all the services related to severe health problems or diseases that are mentioned earlier such as Fractures, injuries, maternal expenses, emergency care, etc.

• Along with secondary care services, the Sehat Insaf Health Card will also cover priority coatings for eight major diseases, including organ failure, oncology, and neurosurgical services. Also, as mentioned earlier these diseases include cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, burns, and traffic accidents, as well as chronic diseases (tuberculosis, hepatitis A/B/C, HIV, chronic liver disease).
• The cardholder is entitled to medical care for up to Rs. 720,000 per year. It is Rs. 720,000 and can be topped off as needed. The Sehat Insaf Health Card’s guaranteed sum will not be exhausted before the treatment of the cardholder or a family member who contracts a serious and expensive sickness can continue; instead, the government may contribute more rupees. 360,000 per family annually, including full therapy.
• Not only treatment services, but they also provide transportation services that every patient requires and each family gets 1000rs per visit to avoid every obstacle in treatment.
• The availability of support for burial is a further essential factor. If a patient passes away while being treated at a hospital, the deceased’s family will be given Rs. 10,000 for burial expenses.
• Public and private hospitals are both included as participants on the Sehat Insaf Health Card’s list of benefits. Before this program, it was unimaginable for the poor to consider visiting a private hospital, but now they can do so with confidence and obtain care.

Treatment Packages Sehat Insaf Health Card ( Secondary aid– Priority treatment)

As mentioned earlier, there are two types of treatment packages are offered that are:

Secondary Aid

Secondary aid covers almost 60,000rs each per year which includes the following treatments:

• Inpatient care (including diagnostic and treatments)
• Hospitalization-required emergency care
• Pregnancy and delivery services (including vaginal birth and C-section)
• Prenatal checkups and consultations on pregnancy and childbirth
• Giving moms advice on nutrition, vaccinations, and family planning
• Fractures/injuries; post-hospitalization; $1,000 (three times a year) for local transportation costs
• Transportation charges per visit are also included in secondary aid

Priority Treatment

Priority aid covers almost 300,000rs each per year which includes the following treatments:

1. Patient services (including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures)
2. Heart disease (bypass surgery or angioplasty) • Diabetic mellitus resolution
3. Burns and accidents (including limbs, implants, and prosthetics)
4. Dialysis and advanced kidney disease
5. Chronic infections (HIV and hepatitis)
6. Liver, kidney, heart, and lung failure
7. Cancer treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery)
8. Neurosurgical intervention
